Setup and Preparation:
Dialysis technicians are responsible for preparing the dialysis machines and equipment before each treatment session. This involves sterilizing and maintaining the equipment, ensuring the availability of necessary supplies, and verifying the accuracy of the dialysis prescription.

Patient Care:
Dialysis technicians are directly involved in providing care to patients undergoing dialysis treatment. They assist patients in preparing for the procedure, which may involve taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and discussing any concerns or questions. During dialysis sessions, technicians monitor patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels, and report any significant changes or issues to the supervising healthcare professionals.

Machine Operation:
Dialysis technicians are responsible for operating and monitoring the dialysis machines during treatment. They ensure that the machines are functioning properly, make adjustments as needed, and respond to any alarms or technical issues that may arise.

Infection Control:
Maintaining a clean and sterile environment is crucial in dialysis units to prevent infections. Dialysis technicians are responsible for following strict infection control protocols, including proper hand hygiene, disinfection of equipment, and adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Documentation and Reporting:
Dialysis technicians maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patients' treatment sessions, including vital signs, dialysis parameters, and any complications or observations. They may also assist in documenting patient progress and any changes in their condition.

Safety and Emergency Response:
Dialysis technicians are trained to handle emergencies that may occur during dialysis treatment, such as allergic reactions, cardiac arrest, or equipment malfunctions. They must be familiar with emergency procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid, and be able to respond promptly and appropriately.

Collaboration and Communication: Dialysis technicians work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, doctors, and other technicians. They communicate important information about patients' conditions and progress, participate in team meetings, and collaborate to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
